Delivering Tomorrow
Services
Finding and Booking Loads
I use load boards, industry connections, and direct relationships with shippers to find profitable freight that needs to be moved. I'll negotiate rates on behalf of the carrier to ensure a good profit margin, taking into account factors like fuel costs, time, and the distance of the haul.
Route Planning and Optimization
Plan the most efficient route for the driver. This involves considering traffic, weather conditions, and road closures to minimize delays and maximize fuel efficiency. I also strategize to reduce "deadhead" miles by finding backhauls, which are loads for the return trip.
Communication and Problem-Solving
I'll serve as the central communication hub. I'll constant contact with the driver, providing updates and instructions. Communicate with brokers and shippers to provide status updates on shipments.
Paperwork and Compliance
The administrative side of the job is vital. I'll handle a significant amount of paperwork, including rate confirmations, bills of lading, and invoices. I also ensure that drivers and the company are in compliance with federal and state regulations, such as Hours of Service (HOS) rules, to avoid fines and penalties.
